Common questions
Is TutorMatch open to any subject?
+
Any subject a private tutor can teach one-on-one: coding, AI, Turkish, Quran, math, writing, test prep, and more. Music has its own sister platform at TuneMatch.
How does the fee work during alpha?
+
During alpha we don't take a fee. You and the learner agree on the rate directly after introduction. As bookings and payments move on-platform, TutorMatch will take 5-10% (aligned with the fair-split model of our sister site TuneMatch).
How long does approval take?
+
A few days. Every alpha tutor is reviewed personally to keep the first cohort strong. We'll email you the moment your profile is live.
Do I need formal certification?
+
No. We look for genuine teaching experience, a clear bio, and content appropriate for open one-on-one instruction. Tell us what you teach, who you've taught, and why learners come back.
Will learners get my email directly?
+
Not during alpha. Learners reach out through TutorMatch and we make the introduction. Your inbox stays private.
Can I teach in languages other than English?
+
Yes. Turkish, Arabic, and other languages are welcome. Note it in your bio so learners can find you.
